Monday, monday...
Upon waking, after a (smoke induced) decent night of sleep, we were greeted by our neighbors (adult playground). It's always nice to wake up to a fellow burners. That morning we shared our temple burn experiences, as well as a mourning beer & smoke. Fortunately Sundays burn was enjoyed by all. On Saturday, Bo burn sucked. His entire view was blocked by a group of inconsiderate individuals who refused to sit, even after they were asked on several occations. It was Bos first burn and not being able to view it properly upset him to tears. Sometimes people can really suck! (scroll up to see my blog bit "Do you believe in God?").
After procrastinating for as long as possible, Lush, Anomaly, and I finished breaking down what was left of camp Tabula Rasa. Most of the afternoon was spent quietly cleaning our spot of playa, only stopping to gift pedestrians or share a funny thought. It's always hard to leave the playa, but after 10 days of heat, dust storms, illness, injuries, and lets not forget self medicating, we were ready. We were filthy, tired and said, but we were ready.
We were finally on our way out but not before 3 1/2 hours of exodus. Exodus was actually one of the best parts of this day. Everyone was told to turn off their cars and relax because we weren't going anywhere for a long while. There was nothing to do so we had an Exodus Party! It was a parking lot. I've never seen so many people who were happy to be stuck in traffic jam of that magnitude.
On our way back we stopped to eat. That was the first time I had been in a restaurant looking this filthy. That was the first time I had been in a restaurant with so many people who were filthy like me.
good stuff...
