On this fine breazy monrning I discovered that I had strep throat, which is why most of my days are such a blur. I really don't remember much of the mid week. The first aid tent gave me a medical pass and Chris and I left for Reno, after finding the clinic in Gerlach closed. I hated leaving the playa, more over I hated leaving my family. However, I'm glad I went, by the time we got to sparks I was running a fever and was feeling ever so shitty. While were in the waiting room a fellow burner hopped in. He had twisted his knee jumping off Thunderdome. He was just as eager to get back as we were.
After eating a hot meal we decided we were to tired and sick so we stayed the night. All I could think about was Michele and the rest of camp. I hoped that they were having fun. I felt like I was cheating...running water, pluming, and a pillow that didn't smell like dust. It was pure goodness, and yet I wanted to get back as soon as possible.
