alive and breathing

Today I got a dose of reality. My parents and I were in a serious accident. We were on our way to see my brother in Prescott and it started raining hard. We hit a large puddle and hydroplaned. Our car spun around and landed in a ravine upside down. There was lots of smoke and confusion. Not one of us was hurt, which is amazing since I wan't wearing a seat belt. I can only guess it was because I was sleeping in the back seat. We escaped with minor cuts and bruises. It was all so crazy and it happened so fast.

My parents and I are lucky to be alive today and I need a beer.
