Just a random thought
Working with children for a while now and I’ve noticed that most parents prefer to educate their children in the ways of a non-violent lifestyle, teaching them to resolve problems with their intellect rather then their fists. Yet I find it ironic that as a nation we promote the death penalty and war (aka physical punishment) as retaliation.
Who has the right to punish? Who are we to inflict justice? Who are we to play god? How sanctimonious are we to teach one thing and do another, don't actions speak louder than words? The United States is the only industrialized nation that still allows death as a penalty. I’m not even going to get into the monkey who found his way into the oval office. Essentially, we're just a bunch of hypocrites talking out of our asses.
